an awesome day on the ice

What a great day to be out fishing! a little more than a week ago, I had never caught a burbot or a whitefish. Last weekend I connected with my first burb and today I got my second, and my first white. Add to that the fact that it was an absolutely beautiful day in the sunshine and it was darn near perfect. I took my foster son out with me who has recently moved in with our family. He hadn't been out fishing since he was a little kid with his father and he loved the experience even though he only landed one small perch.

Supper tomorrow night will be an Alberta fish extravaganza!

That's awesome I hope one day I'm lucky enough to catch a nice burb to take home but until I find them these pics just keep making me hungrier
