wolf lake

wondering if anyone has been to wolf yet headed up end of jan. to do a over nighter can ya drive on lake how is fishing ????

Friend of mine worked up in Bonnyville - spoke often about how treacherous the ice conditions are on that lake.

I was there on Friday and one trail across lake made by trapper to cabin. Got off trail and the whole lake is wash water with 2 inches of ice. Couldn't go anywhere. Tough even staying on the rutted out crazy wash water trail there.. really bad conditions. Lots of ice under wash water though. Pike fishing was off the hook. Flags going off three at a time. Biggest was 9 pounds. Great day out but limited choices on place to fish. Mine were the only fishing holes I saw on the lake.

Seeing if anyone else has been out just seeing what the ice is doing?Gonna give it a go this weekend, hopefully.
