Lots of guys fish the inlet canal on the west side of the lake.

inlet, outlet, and boat launch areas are the 3 main places that people fish on that lake.

I would keep my bait laying on the bottom or close to the bottom.

Where ever you can get close to the lake you'll probably find fish. The canals there really starts to slow down this time of the year.

It is really shallow around the island so if a guy wanted to fish shallow areas it may be good but be careful you don't punch a hole straight into the mud. Your auger blades will be done for the day real quick if you do that.

Head west from the boat launch. Fish in 9-12 FOW. The smaller the hooks on your bait rig the better - they seem to shy away from the big hooks. Bait on the bottom seems to work best.

My favorite fishing is go out away from the canals. Get out into 18 feet of water. Not only will you catch nice pike, but I usually landed a few Wally's as well.
