anyone went there recently? Is it safe to drive on/cross the lake? any precautions? I plan to go soon and will report after coming back.
Was up there last week - 20" of ice - but lots of cracks - so be careful
Fishing was painfully slow.

was up last weekend 20+" of ice no flood water or snow cover...bring ice cleats as walking was dangerous. Caught 1-9" perch and 1-4" perch in 4 hrs...then switched to Pike and caught about 15...two for supper at 28", the rest were dinky...

Are there any hidden springs under in this lake?

Possibly...??? none that I have come across though...always best to be safe...but we are on some of the thickest ice we have had in recent years. Always your call to drive or walk on...
