Flasher Disaster

Being a genius I was using a ice chipper to clean a hole in the shack with my transducer still down the hole and chopped right threw the cord and the puck and half the wire drop 30ft to the bottom off slave. I thought my weekend for my flasher was over and my buddy said you'll never see the puck ever again. I threw on 3 spoons and drop it down the hole to the bottom and swirled the line around the circumference of the whole for 30 secs and slowly brought my line up and I could feel the weight of the ducer and brought her up lol. Score!! Did a bunch of doctoring and shrink wrap and duct tape and she's working good as new. Just ordered 2 new transducers just incase of anymore stupid episodes happen. Hoping it's going to hold up for the weekend.

Haha did use duct tape, it's just black .

how much does a new transducer go for?

$160 each from the fishing hole, makes no sense though cause they only charge $99 for them from Marcum directly . I broke a transducer 2 years ago from a different stupid episode and I think it was $120 go my door.

Yesterday day was great , today was a little slower but we are still hitting the and they are mostly keepers. But we never left the shack so I'm sure if you moved around you would do better. Winds blowing hard since last night. Still great truck access
