Pigeon lake

Was on pigeon this afternoon. Colder than a dead eskimo's fart. But the fishing was ok.
Was northwest/west of mulhurst. Drilled holes every 50-75ft till i was in 8-9fow. Ice varied between 16-18" with a foot+ of dark ice and the rest top layer white ice. Iced a few eyes & one snake.
Ice was cracking and groaning all afternoon, this cold snap with little snow cover should really put the lakes in good shape with safe ice in central alberta.

Is there easy truck access to the ice from the boat launch? I have a quad but would rather use truck of getting to my spot. I had good success in deeper water off Mullhurst in the past few years.

yeah, you can access the lake from mulhurst easily and I saw people drive across the lake multiple times.
