I watched this brown chase the streamer almost to my feet before he nailed it!
By the way, the streamer was gifted to me by Daceminnow & was tied by his son; the trout sure loved it!

That was October 6th. Between crappy weather, working weekends, and generally hearing no good reports from the Bow, I didn't wet a line again until January! I can't recall the last time I went 3 months without fishing!

The next time I wet a line was with my buddy, Ogre. We drove 3 hours to fish with Dago. Fun day, but we only got a few small perch; I never pulled out my camera at all.
Then, my bro' and I spent a day in a friend's shack jigging rattling lures for pike. Lots of action; we landed 47 pike. Most were pretty small, but my bro' got a decent one.

A couple days later, I spent the morning on the Bow with a new friend. He was down from Peace River & could only fish on Monday morning. Of course, Monday morning brought a wind & snow storm. We fished anyway.

This is how much line one pike took out in seconds. The spool was spinning so fast that the flag didn't go up until he slowed down!

That would be a water boatman imitation; got it at The Fishing Hole.
Haven't fished boatman patterns a whole lot, but have had reasonable success with 'em from time to time.
