I will adjust my ice fishing hooks after missing a few fish and sharpen the hook too:test:
who else will do this?
I will take my pliers and adjust the hook so it is more open just a tad:thinking-017:
and go from 7 missed fish :confused0024:
to the next 7 in a row I caught:47b20s0:

I get too preoccupied with that kind of detail sometimes. Not that lake whites take much notice of my gear. Hopefully when my tutor returns from hols my luck will change. I reposition my hooks at every strike , bend, tweak hooks &bait for the perfect presentation. Though some times the drowned minnow works just as well if not better.

I do that as well. I can't understand why any one would use those KVD Triple Grip treble hooks from Mustad as they do exactl the opposite.

I do that every time I retie a new hook on the line. Must do! Open it up a tad and twist to the side slightly.
