Lack of fisheries management has decimated the big walleye.

I have better winter honey holes. Must be why I don't spend any time there. In the summer the launch is so busy unless it's a weekday, so again I find myself somewhere else.

Been doing well on walleye, usually get a limit every time, just look for the trailer park.

Who needs to spend money on a tent when there's shelter available waiting for me to occupy! Hmmmm - If I become a "freeman of the land " can I just stay in the ice hut ??

Genius, wish we had suggested that to the Freeman Loser from calgary who harassed that old lady for months. He could have lived on the ice forever.. Or spring, whichever came first

Poachers dominate the lake.

Poachers dominate the lake.

You are right but theres not enough poaching to take over a lake. I honestly think the fish are gaining brains and are harder to catch

It's because they are swimming in schools. (Insert cricket noise here).

Wish I saw F&W out more in the softwater season...I've called before & have had no one show up... :-(. There's far too much poaching on this lake (esp around the spillway).

Poaching aside. That's a big lake with lots of structure, the spillway does not hold the entire population of fish in that lake.
It's a popular spot, one of which people are drawn to but rarely venture off from. There are many other spots that are much more productive

Yaaaaa, put in your it,e and you can catch fish, and no we don't sit at the spillway all day....and it's usually the 12yr old son who catches em....:sHa_shakeshout:
