Hey just wondered what the best/peak time for the Choho run on the Skeena between ocean and Terrace is. Also which of the tributary's is a good place to fish?? Thanks for any info.

I've been there the first two weeks in October and did very well. Into fish all day.

They usually start beginning of Sept on the lower mainland, but mid sept to early oct, before the bigger kings muscle them out of the Redds

They start showing the end of august but it's really good late sept early Oct the skeena good but big water. I like the lakelse as it's a great river to fish same as the kitimat.

Thanks fella's. Yeah we have a boat to take if the trip is long enough to warrant it. We take the boat out for chinook in july and battle the masses. Is the number of people less for coho fishing?

Way less pressure at that time of year. Be sure to watch water levels though...pretty easy to get burned in the skeena system at that time of year from their annual fall monsoon rains. Usually you can find a decent spot to wet a line though. Also there can be some fantastic steelhead fishing at that time of year.
