Anyone have one and what do you think of it so far. Just looking at the moment and comparing to other makes.

Have a great dealer in mind at the moment. Willing to go the extra mile. Will let me take one home for the weekend and try it out. Not like the Dodge dealer last week that wanted me to give him a $ 2500 deposit so he could search for a truck on the computor and provide me with a basic budget price. LOL Needless to say I walked out of there pretty fast. Funny as I was driving away, his so called manager was trying to flag me down in the parking lot. LMFAO

Apples and oranges...your 14 F 150 will not blow away the new 14 Silverado or Sierra. In fact, next to the new GM trucks the Fords look dated. :fighting0074:
The new GM's are definitely worth a look.

If you can wait another year, hold out and get an FORD F-150 ATLAS
with aluminum body. Then the only remaining decision will be Ecoboost or Coyote 5.0L

I'm a Chevy guy and I don't think they make the Ford look dated. I feel the GMC has finally caught up but hasn't exceeded Ford and Dodge. But you are 100% it was a poor comparison, it would be similar to me comparing my new duramax to the old 7.3L powerstroke.

In lots of aspects, yes. And it should as a newer design. I went and tried out a new ford a while ago and most of it was fairly impressive, till you go to open the doors or the hood. Absolutely the cheapest garbage metal on them ever. Sound and look like tin cans. Stand outside the truck and watch the door panels when u close the door, they quiver like a bowl of jello. Def made me want to wait till the 15's come out, or spring for a new chev

I just bought a new 13 XTR. Seems great so far. Love everything.

Except as mentioned. Doors feel cheap when closed. Often takes a second try to get a full latch (if you don't want to slam them every time)

But in all reality. My only complaint. Great trucks.

Also I wouldn't be the first guy to try out the 15 ford. Aluminum body? I dunno......

THe 2015's have a few features off the Atlas - but the 2015's are not really like it. THey are going to be lighter than the 2014's by 700 pounds, the 3.7L AND the 6.2L engines are gone and replaced by an optional 2.7 Ecoboost (so you can have a 2.7 Eco, 3.5 Eco, and the 5.0L). I have a 2013 that is great, and I love the styling, the new ones look a LOT like a tundra to me - hasn't grown on me yet, but I am sure they will be pretty cool in person. Rumors are the price is going up a bunch (all rumours I hope) due to the Aluminum and extra features.

this is for the 2013 ecoboost, not the reg. v8, I Got a 2013 F150 supercab long box XLT ecoboost for my company truck,

13,000km the entire brake system fell out and had to be replaced, a rubber grommet was vacuumed into the system and the rest was history, took 28 days as no parts available and it was stuck in slave lake waiting for parts from Detroit.

32,000km (yesterday) the 4x4 dropped out, something called the IWE's had to be replaced under warranty work,

the RPA backup assist stopped working the same day as 4x4, also repaired under warranty

battery is weak for a brand new truck, doesn't sound like its running quite right at all anymore, turbo's have a raspy whine to them sometimes, ugh....

Its all boost, fuel economy is not any better than my 09 s/cab longbox xlt.
the only way i get good fuel econ is @75km/hr then it goes down to 7l/100km, any faster and its up to 15-18 which is the same as my 09.

I got the ecoboost with the gremlin enhanced package apparently, my co-worker got the exact same truck the same day i got mine at the shop and hes at 45,000km and not an issue.

I would not personally buy another ecoboost for personal use. the reviews were awesome and for the most part everyone else had a good truck but not me, at least it is a company truck. id probably get another ecoboost as a company truck when this one is Km'd out at 240,000km

the ride is smooth though I would still buy another regular f150

2011 FX4 5.0 L V8 Crewcab 6.5 box just over 30,000kms.

I am yet to have issues with this truck.

I like the the 15's but will hesitate when it come to the aluminum only because of how it could affect insurance rates and possible repair bills.

I think by the time my current one is paid off I will be able to make a better call on them.

They do look sharp though.

Go with the 13 or a 14 you won't be disappointed

I have a 2014 F-150 XTR with the 5.0. Currently has 32000k on it. No issues at all. The truck is fantastic. Great ride decent milage awesome sound system. I don't think it's quite as tough as the Tundra I had but the milage is far superior and the cab noise is a lot less. (Speaking of tinny doors nothing surpasses the Tundra's cheap doors and interior). Very nice ergonomics and a nice throaty sound from the 5.0 when you hammer the throttle. My oldest is 6'1" and has ample room in the back seat. I would definately recommend the F-150.

I have heard that 90% of all Ford trucks are still on the road today...their owners got sick of having them towed home...
Sorry had to, my uncle has a 13 F150 with the Eco tech and loves it

I have a 2012 XTR SuperCrew 145" wheelbase and the ecoboost engine, 3:73 gear ratio, heavy payload package, 130L tank, and electric locking diff, truck has 62k on it now. Only issues we have had was the crap tires, cords went out of the first one @19k and the other 3 at @29k, also around 30k mark had a sensor for the boost mess up. Oh and an O2 sensor at 11k, not sure if some deep water had anything to do with that but drove thru some close to bumper deep water 4 times in 2 days and it was after that the issue showed up. Nothing else to complain about, well ya I guess the tin box. The mpg are not quite what they speak of, once, and only once it got 29mpg on a trip when it was on its way home from the dealer, always around the 21mpg mark on the hiway. Yes drive it hard or tow and the mileage goes down quite a bit, but I tell ya that thing tows 10 times better than my V8 and mpg is no worse so that makes me happy. Towing a 27ft holiday trailer was as low as 17l/100 and got as high as 24l/100. I put a lift and 35" load E tires on and it now gets same mpg as my 2005 F150 did stock, which is around 19mpg. I love to room in the back seat!!! I like everything this truck has to offer and so far nothing stands out to deter me from buying again.

I'm not sure what dealer you went to in Edmonton to have a look at the Dodges, but don't let your bad experience at a dealer decide what truck to buy. Dealers by there very nature are terrible. The Rams are pretty sweet.. I bought mine at Sherwood Dodge and it was an overall great experience.. PM me if you would like details of my experience!

On a side note, vehicles are way more expensive these days as compare to the early 90's even with the dollar "value" comparisons, remember when vehicle models were changed about every 10 years, now its almost something every year and major stuff every 3 or so?

The truck I have now is 2004 Dodge Dakota. Love It! But its getting tierd. Need a new truck now. Just looking for good value and comfort as well as dependable as my dakota was. Brand make doesn't matter to me as I have owned a lot of differant ones in the past. Just need the opinions of the fine folk on here if they like theres or not, past problems etc...

I've got a 2011 extended cab with the 5 litre and its about to roll over 150k. I had to replace one clutch pack in the rearend that was done under warranty and a vacum line on the front end. Other than that its been a good truck, over half of its miles were off highway so I've been more than happy with it. I know when it comes time to replace it I'll be going back to ford.
