Great footage and good feelings. Unfortunate situation. Lucky for the deer.
One of the odd balances of nature. Too much snow can kill a deer and so can too little. Teaches us the importance of snow in winter.
I wonder if the deer are really ok. He mentioned the deer returned to the forest, but they could have damage. If a cow or horse gets splayed out like that they are toast. Hemorrhage and rupture of adductor muscles can happen if the animal “spread-eagled” itself while struggling to rise on slippery ice.

Either way, they have a better chance on land.

I wonder how the deer got trapped in the middle of a lake with no snow? How did they manage to walk out that far but not return....:thinking-006:
