After 3.5 seasons my buddy heater wouldn't fire up on the second day, the day wasn't ruined cause my friend brought his along .The problem was that the pilot light wouldn't stay lit. I held down the pilot forever to try and get it to stay on but every time I tried to depress the pilot would quit. I brought it back home and let it warm up for a few days and tried to see if it would work and if it was just being a pain and would start. It never work again so I ripped it apart.

Checked to see if every thing was connected properly and it all looked good so I pulled off the pilot light assembly and blew air into the pilot light and cleaned up the thermal couple with steel wool. Slapped it all back together and managed to have no screws left so that was promising and fired her up and all was good.

I think it was just the thermal couple so I guy might want to keep some steel wool and a Philips screw driver handy. Hopefully this helps somebody else out some time.

I just did mine. Fully apart. Cleaned the thermo couple but the pilot jet was partially clogged so the flame wasn't big enough to reach the thermocouple. Pulled the whole assembly, soak it in alcohol and used compressed air to blow it out. Runs top notch again. MR. Heater recommends a pre filter if your running bulk propane. They sell them at PA. I re-fill all my greenies so that is still bulk propane. Gonna get a pre filter
