I just want to give a big thank you to a couple members here on AO.
First the story:
I am scheduled to go do my 3rd year technical training for my apprenticeship at RDC commencing March 2nd. I thought all was in line for my accommodations, but a sudden change of status for a friend left me up the creek with no room at the inn!
Oh crap what's a guy to do????
So I called up 220swifty, and asked if he knew of anyone with a room to rent for a couple months, he said he'd float some feelers and get back to me....
I also contacted Roger and asked if he knew anyone with a room in Red Deer...
Roger simply said why don't you stay at his place.... Wow thanks buddy, he was out shed hunting so he said he'd call me when he got home.
At the same time I'm talking with Roger, Swifty texts me a phone number for a lady who had a room to rent...
Both places were great, and suited my needs, but I elected to stay at Chateau Roger, since its so much easier with folks you know after all....
Anyways I'd like to say thank you to both 220Swifty, and Roger, you guys are true friends, and went above and beyond helping me out.
This is what makes AO different than other forums, real people giving friends help....
