Since we have a bunch of threads on numbers in commercials what was the one that ( I think ) went
478-6661 478-6661 478-6661 CUT! Stop stop stop you've ruined the take!

I sort of remember that, but I can't remember what it was for. It's from back in the 70's.

The whole province had one area code (403) - and you could tell which part of Edmonton someone was in by the first three digits. 439 and 433 were the South Side - Old Scona area. 466 was the Capilano area (had an aunt living in that area). Anything starting with a 9 was out of Edmonton (had cousins in Stony and all their numbers started with 9).

I remember those days. Our number was 7192. The "big city" of North Battleford across the river had 2 prefixes. 445 and 446. You only had to dial the 5 or the 6 before the last 7.

Can anyone remember what 4786661 was for? The voices are running through my head - 4786661-4786661 - it was a woman's voice. The "cut cut" was a man's voice. It's going to bother me until I find out what it was.:angry3:

Wasn't that the number to Chicken on the way? I seem to remember that number around the same time 426-5 0 5 0 started being incessantly played.
