View Full Version : Mikuni one piece pulse fuel pump opinions?

Had a diaphragm style pulse pump start leaking gas on a snowmobile. Went looking for a replacement as I rarely have luck on rebuilding these sandwich style pulse pumps.

The Mikuni replacement is a black one piece nylon, sealed unit. Never have seen one that was not aluminum - diaphragm - aluminum style, screwed together, so this is new territory to me.

The Mikuni was not a lot more money than the jobber old style fuel pump, but it obviously is not repairable.

Given the vibration on a sled pounding through the snow, I am a bit worried about the design, but it clearly will never leak.

Anyone seen such a pump or have any experience with one? Apparently this is the norm on a lot of new sleds being sold that are not fuel injected.

Whats the price difference.
Royal Distributing usually has good pricing on that stuff.

Took a cast metal/aluminum or white metal one off my LS55 but the replacement from New Holland was solid black plastic. Sounds like it is the new rage for fuel pumps.
