Thinking of putting Tracks on my Polaris Ranger 900. Are Tracks reliable? If so which Manufacturer is best? Any advice would be most appreciated.

I don't know what's best all I know is no matter what anyone tells you only use them in the snow or they will come apart. They are only made of plastic.

I wouldn't use them, most people I know that have like the terrain you can go through with them but they hate the slow speed that comes with using them.... Plus they look like a maintenence nightmare :budo:

use mine in the mud, snow everything. they aren't a maintance nightmare. and they don't come apart unless you have the Kimpex from what I have read.

use low range and if you have PS you will be happy.

I have them on a rhino. Great in snow. Gona get muddy in mud! Suck on dry terrain.
Had tattoo tracks since 08 so far I've bent 2 bogies. I do like to switch back to tires in summer for around the farm

I also have them on my Rhino. They are great for snow and icefishing. They are slow, but you have to understand that when you buy them. I can follow my friends just about anywhere the sleds go, but hill climbing can be a challenge. I have a set to the original tattoo utv and have had them for 6 years. Only maintenance I have done is tighten the track. We'll built and have been reliable. If I could, I would like to get the new 4S (4 season) since mine are winter only. Again, make sure you buy a quality product. The tattoo aref what you see on most survier and seismic units.

Hardly. Sure they are slow but sure beats walking thru deep snow. They ain't built for speed. We destroyed this Artic Cat going thru the bush. (Plastic body)Tracks were never a problem.

Camoplast tracks will take you almost anywhere. You gotta run 3/4 throttle to move them and your mileage on your machine will go funky.

But they'll climb over anything.

Camoplast Tatou 4S - the only way to go.

Just be prepared to go places nobody else can get into that don't have tracks come spring/summer/fall.

Next winter I will have a set for my Rhino recently purchased to use in winter.

I bought a set of camoplast 4s for my polaris 800 ranger this fall best money I ever spent I used my ranger all winter it goes anywere.I live west of spirit river ab and we had record snow fall this winter I drove this machine in 5 feet of snow I could stop back up and turn around try that with a snowmobile.Everyone I took with me for a ride could not believe where it could go I never even came close to getting stuck.I plan on just using these tracks in snow so they will last a long time and I dont see where there is much maintanence on them.I bought a new yamaha venture last year and this winter I took it out once. The one thing I like about it is I can take two people with me and it sure brakes up the winter taking friends out and touring the back country I'm fortunate enough to have lots of wildlife close to home. The camoplast 4s are the ones to buy you will not be sorry for putting tracks on your ranger,so get out there and have fun

What would the cost be for a set of tracks for the average UTV?

Unless I am not doing something right I cannot get a price to come up on the website.

If I remember right they are about $1000 per hub , so 4 grand should about cover it

$4500.00 for quad installed $5200.00 for utv the utv set is built heavier with bigger boggie wheels and they are longer and I notice someone said plastic tracks they are rubber the same as a snowmobile.
