Recovered a 150 gr hornady 270 wsm bullet after a 50 yd shot on a small mule deer buck my son took the other day. Quick quartering to shot as it spun to leave, broke the front shoulder, looked like both lungs, liver and found it stuck in the hide back of the ribs. Recovered wt 62 gr, nice mushroom, pretty much rolled right back to the base. Not exceptional performance, but did the job. It's hanging in the shed, should be good eating.
That morning we saw a nice bull moose, 2 cows, about 15 mulies ( which is outstanding for that part of B.C.) in about the first 45 mins of daylight, later we saw only hunters who didn't roll out of bed early enough.
