A number of goods friends & I are going up NW of Manning down the Chinchauga for moose mid next week. The rut will be over however was the early part of the season successful? Grouse populations used to be very strong, how are they now? Any constructive comments are appreciated.

We were up there late September. While we shot some moose, it seems that over the years our indigenous Canadians rights seem to have taken precedence. Vehicles running the backroads at night, shots, and no camps. Not sure what is going on, but it does not take a rocket scientist to figure out what the happenings are.:mad3:

U Buck, I hope you reported what you figured out. There's a F&W right in Manning.

Tuc, we have reported them for the past three years, and nothing seems to happen!!!:mad3: We just go further into the bush, because they don't leave the road.

I hear ya.... I hope to be hunting that area next year. I bought 12 acres about 5 or 6 clicks N.W. of Manning.
Can't wait to get up there and scout around.
