It cost me a lot more than $129 to add 2 inches...

AJ ......... you were jealous of my 10" ...... I saw it in your eyes when I was pounding holes like a rock star.

I knew this would happen ....... I should have turned my back toward you so you couldn't see the size of hole I leave after I'm done my drilling.

Its a VERY good price indeed! A kid at one of the local dealers took forever to quote me that price.... When i came to pick it up it was actually 240 i believe? I said what? Thats not what you told me.... they honored the original price, and off I went with my new auger in hand....:sHa_shakeshout:

Nice purchase AJ. I thought 10 " was sweet too until I had a few fish come un glued and turn in the hole nose diving for the bottom. They say its not about the size but how you use it!!! Enjoy!

Im thinking it will come in very handy next time we go sight fishing for whitefish. BTW, I put new blades on my 8" and it feels like a whole new auger! Man were my old ones dull!

Nice I was pretty happy when I talked WSS customer service into selling me a 10 inch strike master bit for the same 50% off I got on my Auger :sHa_shakeshout: I think it ended up being $119 plus tax and shipping so $140 to my door!!

Tried a ten inch hole before. Sure am glad I divorced her.....

Actually don't like using that big of a hole. Fish have great eyesight and can see above quite well. We had lots of them spook easy. Plus trouble getting them to not roll in the hole. I think its one of those things that bigger isn't better.
Good luck.

10" holes certainly have there place, I've used them before. Keeping my 8" anyway so not like I don't have options....

Sure is nice on Cold Lake! I dont find it spooks fish in shallow.. I havent ever seen a whitefish or any other species spook from hole size. Any Sudden movements or brightobjects might be seen easier by the fish though.. But i think the benefits are worth it! gives you a way better view down hole as well!
