New fishing licenses.

Picked up new fishing licenses for my wife and I today at Canadian Tire. I was surprised at the cheap type of paper they are printed on. I wonder how long those will last in the rain, or even in a wallet?

I wish it would be like a sticker or something you put on your WIN card - those receipts annoy the hell out of me.

I bought mine online, printed 6 copies at work and laminated them. Problem solved...

Your not supposed to laminate those bought at places like Canadian Tire as they are printed on thermal paper and would just turn black. This is not the case for those purchased online though.

You can not laminate the store printed licenses because they are printed on thermal paper that will turn black once laminated. You can cold laminate them or you can print them online and laminate them all you want.

I don't have a laminator... but I print off a bunch and keep one in my wallet, one in my truck, etc...

Also if you buy online you can print more whenever you want!

Bought my wildlife certificate at Canadian Tire today. It was printed on standard copy paper. 81/2x11 sheet of paper

You can also poor man laminate them. I use packing tape and tape both sides.

I put mine in a small ziplock bag and toss it into my tackle box.

The new licenses and tags are pretty cheesy, licenses on crappy computer paper and hand written tags. I did the same, made a bunch of photo copies of my licenses and enlarged them because I bought my fishing license, wildlife certificate and bear tag at the same time and they all printed on the same small piece of paper and each license is tiny.

why are they called resident canadian sportfishing licenses now? are they good in every province?
