Bull Trout!

Finally got a day to relax so figured I would throw up my last icefishing trip of the season from a couple weekends back. Shawn and another buddy and I decided we should head to klakes and try and knock off another species, so we left at 2am on the Saturday and after attempting to push someone out of the ditch until we realized he had been drinkin so we just left him in the ditch. (karma points). Arrived at the lake at 7:30. Wind was blowing but we were ready to go. Then shawn and I made a rookie mistake and the tent blew away before we had it screwed in. so we chased it across the whole fricken lake shawn lost his phone and wallet in the process and I misplaced a lung ha. so after that issue we were fishing by about 10:30. didn't see any or have a bite all day but other buddy missed a couple. Spent the night in canmore and was back on the lake at 6:30 and at about 10 I finally saw one scream in and take my jig and just like that I had caught my first bull trout! what a fish the fight was awesome and it was just topped off by the awesome scenery! 29.5" absolute beauty couldn't ask for a better first bull! then our buddy got one and then finally shawn got one! then shawn got another as we were packing up! trip was awesome its always cool to set a goal and then to actually accomplish it! Also saw a cougar saunter out of the forest and drink from the floodwater on the shore was so cool! Loved fishing in the mountains cant wait to be back! enjoy some pictures!
