Based on your experience, when are the beest dates for decoying antelope in AB? Pretty consistent from year to year?

Thinking about pulling a tag .

Mid Sept. The most fun you can have. The bucks rut so hard and are a sucker for a decoy if it's done right.

Peak dates for decoys, Sept. 17-23.

Before then the dominant bucks are rarely interested in the decoys. After that the dominant bucks are tough to draw away from the does.

I have found the magic days to often be the 17-20, when every buck that sees the decoy, charges the decoy. Damnnnn that's fun!:sHa_shakeshout:

This is an interesting topic for me as hunting the antelope rut is my favorite hunt. I went down to the wall to look at the date on the P+Y certificates and they are as follows: Sept. 13, Sept. 16(2), and Sept. !8. Three others I shot were right in there around the 15th to 18th. Be there mid month and give yourself the next 5 days and you should be having some action!
