Personal Bests/Favourites

Fish pictures are always cool and I thought it would be neat for members to share some of their personal bests and favourite catches. I will start with some of my favourites.

First up is this wahoo I caught in St. Lucia. This was my first saltwater fish and it is still possibly my largest fish to date(longest for sure).

This next fish is a giant mekong catfish that I caught in Thailand. It is perhaps the heaviest fish I have caught although the wahoo would be close.

These next two aren't my personal bests but unfortunately are the best ones I have pictures of. The trout is also one of the first fish I caught fly fishing.

This is my personal best pike(by weight) to date. 37 inches, and 13 lbs 8 ounces.

This next one was one of my first fish caught ice fishing. It is my personal best (by length) at 39.5 inches, supposedly only 13 lbs 3 oz although it looks larger then the one above imo.

And finally here is my best Cape Coral "slam". These are my largest redfish, seatrout and snook that I caught on my recent trip to Cape Coral. I didn't catch them all in the same day(well redfish and seatrout I did) so it isn't officically a slam but you get the point.

Damn, that thing would have pulled like a freight train.

Redfish are one of my favourite fish to catch because of how strong they are, they just put their heads down and keep on pulling line. I had 22 inchers pull my kayak around a bit, very strong fish.

It was a pretty good fight. I caught him off a long dock or peir that went out on the gulf. We had to lower a net down on a rope.

Selfie pics are difficult, that is why fishing buddies are so important lol.

:) Its hard to find one that can work from the "mobile office" as I like to call it:) Fishing is always better when your getting paid to do it!

Here is the biggest fish I have ever caught in my life, a near 20 pound channel catfish, it is actually quite recent, just caught it last week down somewhere in Lake Havasu on the Colorado River, took me 30 minutes to get this fish in, this fish is quite close to my 18.05lb Lake trout I caught this summer but I think it is a bit bigger

My personal best fish is a 13 pound pike. Caught her this march in about 1 foot of water.
