Well things are progressing nicely. This year it will be May 31 and June 1st.The spring fish is fun and its kinda nice not having to run 30 plus miles to find the fish.We kept the entry fee affordable and still have a great prize payout. This is a great tournament and fun for all.
For more info check out our web page - www.bigriverwalleyeclassic.ca or join our facebook page. You can also e-mail me @ robertsnyder@live.ca

Don't forget that the Province bans the importation of leeches from AB. Crawlers have to be transported in peat moss or shredded paper. No soil. Don't take a chance by breaking the regulation. Call Patties Esso in Big River to pre-book jumbos.

Looking forward to this Tourny again. Good time, good people. Nine hour drive but it's year four and always enjoy it. Is Delaronde camp ground under new ownership or still same? Always tough to get ahold of someone to book a site. Will get our entry in next week - still hanging on fridge. :test:

4th-$3000 and all the way down to 10th-$600

$6oo product (fishin hole) cool under pressure
$1000 best mixed team

Hello I was wondering if there in anyone in Edmonton or around Edmonton that would like to fish this tournament? My partners wife is pregnant and may be birthing around this time so he has opted out! We won this tournament last year and I plan to win it again! That's just how I roll! LOL I'm looking for shared expenses and someone that is fun and has a good sense of humor but also possess a certain amount of professionalism! please email me at walleyeca@hotmail.com if interested! Got registration and check in mail today. Looking forward to a great tourney again. I would encourage anyone to come and fish this event. No one needs to feel intimidated - just hook up to the boat, grab a partner, and come have some fun fishing a great lake. Lots of good people to help out and share some lies. The more the merrier. Got to get my leeches with the big green "S" stamped on their backs ordered up. See y'all soon.

Hi , we launch the boats at the south end "South Stoney Resort" Awsum marina and the weigh in is here also. The lake is 35ish miles long, clean and beutifull. Most guys stay at Stoney Bay campground, this is right on the lake a couple miles from the launch, deleronde resort is good and they have there own marina. Its about 8 miles from the launch, or lots of guys like to stay at the town campsite since you have to go to town for fuel anyways and its walking distance from the hall where the meetings and meal are.Cant get a ticket for drunk walking -haha.Hope this helps, be glad to have u come, its a lot of fun:sHa_shakeshout:90970

Any tourney results available yet?

First place yet to Jim Wagg and his partner, who beat Trevor and I by .6 of a lb in the last 10 minutes or so. They needed over 22lbs for the win and they got 22 and change. They Also got the big fish for day 2 and overall with a 7.8lb tank. They also had a 6.5lb earlier in the day. Their total weight was 37.12, we ended up with 36.5lbs, and third came in at 34 and change.

Had an awesome time out there, the folks at Big River are super hosts, and go out of their way to make everyone welcome. Its really to bad their isn't more Sask boys doing this tourney, as 25 of the 42 boats this weekend were from Alberta. Pretty poor showing from the home town crowd.

Also have to thank my partner Trevor Davies, we had an absolute blast out there. He put us onto the spots that produced, and we worked hard on day two to get our fish and were so close to winning it. I'm sure out of everyone there we had the most fun, it was almost non-stop laughter both days, and in the end we got to split a good cheque for our efforts. Would gladly fish another one with him as he knows how to get it done out there...
