im new to the area and wondering about trying to catch some goldeye in the nsr hoping for some tips
any help would be great thanks

Lots of goldeye and mooneye. They will take worms, minnows, spinners, rapalas, streamers, dry and wet flies and spoons. I've even caught them on orange peels on a single snelled hook.

There are lots of other types of fish to be had too.

It's still a little early to be getting goldeye around here, though that's not to say you won't get a couple strays every now and then. In another month or so there will be a lot more of them around.

If you're bait fishing in the river you'll catch quite a few whether you want to or not.

They seem to really like shiny things - especially silver. I've had a lot of luck simply on small silver bladed bucktail spinners and small holographic type Blue Fox spoons.

I managed to get out yesterday for 4 hrs, nd got 2 mountain white fish, nd had 3 other bites!
