I'm pretty sure I found some gopher holes under my deck. What is the best way to get rid of them. I live in Edmonton and therefore I'm thinking that buying an airgun to use on them would be out of the question so looking for other suggestions.

Thanks

Hose and instead of a snare throw a net over the holes. Almost full proof.

As a teenager I used to use a five gallon pail of water and a dog that hated gophers. The dog was a poodle that was bit by one, after that any gopher that the dog saw was a dead gopher.

Pick up a trap and bury it in the hole... Halfords will have any trap you could need.

maybe u'd better move to something like knitting or raising flowers, or something?

come on guys..........let's all set upon him and ridicule him. there's a bunch of lurkers out there! how come the pack hasn't descended upon him?

Gopher fishin. Put a long leader on the end of some good line. Make a snare out of the leader put it around the top of the hole then sit back in a lawn chair with a beer and wait for him to pop his head up.

or just get a regular leg hold trap set it and forget it, well check to see if you caught the little bugger.

Make sure there is no cats or dogs that can get under you deck, you might catch them also.

I believe you need to speak with "Au Revoir, Gopher."

If Caddyshack has taught me anything....

Occasional gopher around my place but they don't last long. Free ranging cats take care of them in a hurry.
