One proud papa

Went out yesterday for about an hour with my son to make sure my 300 is in good aim for the upcoming season and after we were done we went to see if we could spot any gophers on this fine snowy day and we did see some, not many but some. My son Lake is ten and this was his first kill. He got it at about 30 yards with an old cooey single shot with iron sights. I'm so proud. At the end of the evening he shot 4. The excitement in his eyes was priceless.

Learnt shooting gophers with a Cooey single shot way back in the day on the farms around North Battleford.
