im new to Alberta in November and me and the wife are headed to jasper next weekend to check out the mountains and hopefully do some fishing just wondering if anybody has any tips she hasn't fished much before and i haven't fished creeks a hole lot any help would be appreciated

spec is in Europe on holidays, I have not looked at the regs. to see what is open, but there was a lot of ice there when I came through last week. I would wait a week or 2.

You can download the parks regulations from this site. This webpage tells you what is open for fishing in Jasper in April too.

I remember seeing an article about early season fishing on the athabasca river where there was still big blocks of ice along the river side. The anglers did catch some beautiful big trout, but not many.
