I suspect we will know soon enough just how big he is.
He was less then eight hundred yards from my neighbors house and I believe the lady of the house would not take kindly to his visit. And she knows how to shoot! I mean she really knows how!

I have seen some west of Calgary on Sibbald Creek trail and powderface over the past few weeks. Nothing massive but they are there. And I have seen tons of tracks in the fresh snow while out rabbit hunting.

I saw one 2 days ago while scouting. Pretty big and a mile from my bear stand, so hopefully he'll drop by yet.

update.

I have no idea where that bear went to. It never showed up here, yet.

No tracks, dog never raised a fuss, nothing.
But I suspect he's been hanging around here for a while. He sure wasn't bothered by the traffic or by me stopping to take pictures of him.
