on another thread a member found an old skull with antlers attached. some members asked if he got a permit for it. it would not have occured to me that you needed a permit for an old skull found while hunting for, say, the elusive morrel.
qestion.... do you also require a permit for any sheds that you might find out in the field or forest? (not attached to skull). thanks

Nope not for sheds. But dont let the permit deter you from collecting the skull.
Its a very simple process. Bring Skull to F&W office. Fill out a permit statement. They will usually keep it a few days just to inspect it.and then they call you and charge you 11$.
IF YOU GET STOPPED BY F&W just explain your on the way to Office. He can even fill out a permit for you. Just make sure you do get the permit.

Iv never had them keep a head of mine....they just check it out, ask where you found it, when, $10 piece of paper, good to go.
