On my Friday off i went to my early season spot. The morning started out slow but picked up and we ended up landing 8 lake whites.

However our success rate was low we were getting 5 to 6 bites for every fish we hooked.

You must really set the hook hard to snap their necks like that. :)

I almost didn’t post that photo because of that. The guy I was fishing with thinks that’s the best way to dispatch fish, and he has significantly more experience then I so I don’t argue.

It is actually good to see. Too many people catch fish and let them slowly suffer on the shore or on the ice. I like that you dispatched them quickly.

What technique do you use for the lake whites? that's an awesome haul!

I'm the same way, run the knife through the keepers, no need to leave it panicing in the bottom of the boat or on the ice.
Nice haul!

I also like to see instant kills. I usually drop a knife through the spine, just behind the head.
