What happened to the Brazeau?

I drove down the powerhouse road to check out the Brazeau river for the first time in years, and when I got down to the river I noticed that the river is a tiny creek compared to what it used to be. Am I missing something? What happened to the river? Have they comepletely dammed it off? Sorry if this is a dumb question I just haven't been up there for a long time.

So did they completely dam off the river? Are they letting any water out?

At this tim of the year is the last reserves of water above the dam before the mountain run off refills the reservoir in June. when the reservoir is full they will let off more water.
