It's a tough little creek to fish further up towards k country. Lots of deadfall after the flood it has the odd large fish

I remember fishing this creek as a kid, was so much fun.... We usually fished just off the highway crossing, if I remember , there was a camp ground around the area we stayed at

I remember using little panther martins, black and yellow, white and yellow, and pink and silver or blue patterns worked great

Opening day is June 16. Water should be clear or at least not bad.

Go to the bridge in town that crosses JP Crk.

Look upstream.

There is also a sign stating the reg's for the stream. I would still like to find out for sure wether any landowners own the stream bed along this creek as there have been lots of encounters and hearsay over the years.

How is it considered trespassing if one stays below the high water mark. Do landowners or ranchers actually own the stream bed.
Edjumacate me as I didn't think this was possible.

If the stream is closed due to regulations, that's one thing, but didn't think anyone could lay claim to the stream bank below high water mark.

I agree, I think there is only one spot along the Crowsnest where the landowner owns creek bed in Alberta. This has been talked about but it seems like we never get anything definitive on the Jumpingpound.
