Was just out there on Saturday. 10ft i of open water then thick ice threwout the whole lake. Managed to cast to an open hole 50ft away and get my hook to drop in the hole. Managed 3 trout and crazy amout of hits. Fish were on fire. Ill post pics soon.
With this hot weather im sure u will be good to go now.

I always had great success when the ice is only half off with white or silver spinners. Cast them right onto the ice and let them drop off the edge of the ice for a second or three. Slow irregular retrieve. Works good in the pothole stocked trout lakes.
