TEL will kill on skin contact. Chec the local speed shop or mix AV gas or VP with pump premium.

Aviation gas still contains TEL.

Petro Canada has some good lead substitute. The stuff Lamont Co-Op sells turns the gasoline cloudy and I wouldn't use it. I don't know what brand name it was, but it's terrible! Check with Reynolds Alberta Museum Restoration Shop, down in Wetaskiwin, see what they use.

AV gas I used in my Turbo Sled worked better than C12 loved 10:1 compression . I used it in some 327 engines I had :bad_boys_20:

I used Av gas in my RM250, loved it! UFA has something as an additive as well just can't remember the name. Had an old JD 2020 with a gas motor at one time.

some av gas would be a good idea but expensive. TEL only requires a tenth of a gram per gallon so it would be nice to find some.

The stuff at UFA, I think, is simply called Valve Saver

I have an old lead additive bottle in my shop that is used for 20's-30's outboards.
It's made by mercury marine I believe, marketed for outboards. However I'm pretty sure that bottle is from the 60's.... Call around I guess.

I don't see why you couldn't use a marine-grade as it would be higher grade than automotive, but you may want to check any gears or other metals for reactivity with the lead compound.
