I seem to recall watching it on Saturday mornings at 5 or 6 mid 80's and early 90's I believe. Believe it was on ITV or Access. It focused primarily on Canadian wildlife I think. Intro music was sort of similar style to the old Hinterland who's who vignettes. It is not Lorne Greenes or Mutual of Omaha.
Thanks! It's been bugging me for months!

Might be "Untamed World", but that featured sort of African music in the Intro with scenes of African wildlife and such to get you hooked.
Then featured much less exciting animals.

The second half of the Outro was a bit Hinterlandy:)

Al Oeming - Man of the North? Aired in the early 80's I think there was only 1 season.

Mutual of Omaha Wild Kingdom...host was Marlin Perkins. Mr Perkins was the director of the St Louis zoo...his sidekick was a guy named Jim Fowler.
Used to watch it all the time...boy, am I Old.

On Safari with Armand and Michaela Denis.

"Oh Armand, look at the baby monkey."
"Yes, Michaela"

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Loved Mutual of Omaha as a kid

Old Marlin would be in Africa standing all shiny his spotless safari suit saying crap like

"Jim's wrestling a water buffalo into submission so that we can take a closer look at it"

Meanwhile they've shot the buffalo in the butt with a trank gun and it's drooling all over while Jim is trying to prop it up so they can get the wrassling shot.

Poor old Marlin Perkins got outed in his Golden years when all their sketchy animal handling techniques were revealed. Kind of an early days Marty Stauffer "Wild America" who was the real King of fixing nature shows.

Thanks for taking a look everyone!
Cowman, you might be onto something...if only I could find the intro to his old show...I'd recognize the jingle in a second.

Otherwise, all good guesses guys, but no dice.

Marty Stouffers was one of my absolute favourites though!!
