Lately I've been noticing white smoke from my 2011 gmc duramax.only lasts under a minute but I'm curious to why it's doin that.harder I excelerate the faster it blows it out then it just stops an I continue on smoke free till the next time it happens.what does this mean?

Most likely just moisture/condensation in the exhaust system.

I was told by a mechanic at the dealership it's the exaust systems way of cleaning itself out..not sure what to think.

Mine will do it when it is doing a regen. If you are concerned do a coolant pressure test but I can bet the farm it's nothing to worry about.
