I bought this jack-all at Princess Auto a few years ago and over the winter in my truck toolbox the bolts loosened and fell out. I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how it goes together (Maybe I'm missing a piece) and I was wondering if someone had a similar type jack that could point me in the right direction. Failing that I'm going to drive into the city and take a picture of a new one. Thanks!

The first hole in the handle should go in the top hole. The linkage attaches to the other hole in the handle and the lower hole of your diagram.
I'm not sure of the exact orientation of the linkage though but the way it sits in the picture looks like it may be right.

THAT'S IT! :sHa_shakeshout: I need a pitman pin in the second hole on the handle where the pitman attaches. Where I was going wrong was trying to put a bolt in there. If I don't find the pin in the bottom of the toolbox I'll cut the shaft of a bolt to fit in there and that ought to do it.

Thank you very much, it's been awhile since I've been stumped like that. That saves me a trip into the city and I can get those fence posts out first thing tomorrow now. :)

You still drive a 1955 pick up that has bumpers that can handle a jack all? :sHa_sarcasticlol:

I use to chuck a socket welded to a small shaft into my drill. Then I would stand the Jack-all next to my fence posts and drive a lag bolt thru the hole in the jack-all right into my fence posts. More fun than a chain or strap:sHa_shakeshout:
Slick as snot:)

My jack-all is like having a second person holding the end when I'm building decks and I use it a lot. I picked up a couple of lock nuts so it doesn't fall apart on me again. I just have to grind that pitman pin from a spare bolt and I'm good to go.

I'm taking out a residential fence and the posts are 4"x4" not cemented in. I'm hoping to get them out in one piece so I can auger into the same holes to cement new posts in. I just throw a chain around the post and jack it out. Hopefully they're not rotten in the ground or plan B kicks in.....lol!

I don't have it strapped to the hood of my truck or anything.....LOL....but it's always in my tool box. It's part of my getting unstuck kit. :)
