Oh goody, another thread completely unrelated to the outdoors. LOL

Hitting up my Edmonton AO brethern for some leads. I own a condo in E-town I originally bought for sons to live in while attending U of A. That done, it needs some upgrades (and probably sterilization) before I re-rent or sell. I want to do two things and need recommendations for contractors:

1. Tub replacement, rip out old tub surround, put in new one or tile (not sure which yet), new taps, etc. Thought the firm "Bath Fitter" might be good for a basic job.

2. Refinish/reface kitchen cabinets (go from white to brown), put on new doors, etc. New cabinets would be nice but I figure refinishing should be cheaper, plus I don't want to have to screw around with the granite counters I put in year before last.

Since I'm not living in it, I don't want to pay through the nose for high end products. I'd like to keep things basic and affordable and not put in money I''ll never get back. Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Gracias.

Pm Willowtrail. Scott. He did a substantial Reno at my house last summer. Fair, honest guy. Him and his dad spent about 3 months at my place, like I said it was a floor to ceiling gut!! But me and the wife are really happy with the results. And yes he's in Edmonton.
