Landslide Lake/ Lake of the Falls

Does anyone know when these lakes open up - what are the trails like going in there now?

3rd week of June landslide was frozen solid last time I was there. Last 1/5 of the trail was deep snow. This was a few years ago.

2 1/2 feet of snow still, same as many places along the trunk. Too much snow in hummingbird grader couldn't get in yesterday.

Looking at going into Lake of the falls in mid july, just wondering what the best way to get to it is. Ive read a few things that say going over purple mountain is worth the trip and alot shorter just alot more elevation gain and loss. Any help would be appreciated.
