i just read the 2014 fishing regs online and unless im blind it doesn`t state that the use of barbless hooks are manditory is this the same as last year when it was a supposed typo, or am i just tring to find it to hard and not seeing what im looking for :thinking-006: :confused:

So far as I understand it, the Federal government passed omnibus legislation to change the fisheries act last year. These changes have made it impossible for the provincial government to enforce the use of barbless hooks. The 'All pipelines in all directions' Bill, or something like that. I guess barbed hooks do not affect fish of cultural or economic value.
