It's Jackfish Lake, I think you could tie on just about anything and catch one of the little buggers by trolling.:)

Apparently I missed this post. Jackfish lake If your refering to the one west and north of edmonton . There pretty , good pike and burbot fishing , and when you can find the perch not so bad ither.

If you intend to ice fish it BE VERY VERY VERY CAREFUL The lake is airrated and ice in spots is very thin. I had a buddy go thru the ice last year.

Never knew Jackfish lake was airrated. I knew about the underwater springs. I guess you learn something new everyday.

yeah , with the under water springs and the fact that the lake isnt very deep , Ive yet to see where its Airrated , thats just second hand information , but I beleave it the smaller lakes around tend to be Airrated.

Burbs are alot of fun thats forsure , esspecially if you hook up with a pig. My favorite rig , texas rigged rubber worm with a slip bobber , and let it bounce about an inch of 3 off the bottom. Or also a jig head and minnow directly on bottom is really good too .
