If anyones been catching any sturgeon in the spring down by the north saskatchewan river, if you are, what kind of lures/bait are you using?

2/0 hook /Jumbo Dew worms / 3 way swivel or rig of choice (do not use a pickerel rig!!!!) and 4-6OZ pyramid sinkers ...no others. Anything you hear about chicken livers etc...well I can imagine you'd be waisting your time the most effective method based on my experiences is a couple dews on a 2/0. As far as location your on your own as different times of the year vary sturgeon location with the exception of a couple year long well producing holes.

I use a 8.5ft medium heavy (12-20lb) fast action shimano rod with a shimano bait cast real capable of holding about 200 yards of a braided line in or around 25lb test.
