Yes, there are no restrictions on bullet size for hunting coyotes. 223 works just fine

As long as a rifle is not restricted it can be used on coyotes...as was mention there is no limit on the cartridge or caliber.

How about something of a review on the benelli when you get a few rounds down the pipe. Not a huge fan of semis, but us lefties have to keep our options open.
It accepts stanag mags I'm told.
As for .223; np legally or ethically. As with any hunting shot placement is key. As is bullet selection. I've been around long enough to defer to Lefty-Canuck's opinion there.

Our range has rules that we cannot hunt or shoot a live target on range grounds :)

A semiautomatic centerfire rifle (does not apply to rimfire) has a limit to how many it can hold in the mag....not just for hunting but even to possess.
So if you are looking for a loop hole :)
......re-ask the question you really want to ask :)....high capacity center-fire magazines are a no no.

But LAR which are 10 round and fit the MR1 and PCV .50's which legally hold 14 .223 fit the MR1.
Buy a pcv 50 and throw 14 rounds into a coyote legally.

People need to actually read the regulations, rather than listening to rumors.:)

Coyotes aren't really all the tough. 1 round is usually enough. I know of guys who easily down western yotes with a 17hmr. 1 shot one kill. If you're not confident in your ability to do that at a given range then practice. Spraying 14 rounds at an animal is hardly humane. Also spraying 14 rounds at an animal legally is a good way to get that convenient loophole closed tight for everyone.
