That lake is a wreck. Only lake, where in my many years of boating, have I had weeds plug off my water intake on my outboard because the weeds were so thick.

Had that happen at Piegon Lake but was the algae being so thick it would plug the intakes.

Explains the property values out there... cheap cabins. And lots of them.

The lake is treatable, I believe so, with a product called Penergetic. It is amazing stuff, I was having bad algae blooms in my dugout on my acreage, and this stuff just cleaned my water supremely! My water is crystal clear and never seen another algae bloom again. It's my understanding that the Eastern Irrigation District is even considering using this stuff to control the algaes in their waterworks.

John Gow from Bow Island is the man to talk to. He is a water quality expert.
