Just got home from a day on Lac St.Anne, Caught a couple jack and some nice keeper (Class B) walleye from the South end of the lake. Later in the afternoon headed over to the rock island where people seemed to congregate, caught a wally that was about 53cm so too big for my tag but I noticed he was an "uglier" fish than my other two. He also had the worms attached to him that some guys had talked about on here before. Just wondering if people had any other insight into this grossness.

Something like this?? Caught this guy off the Alberta beach launch as well as 12 jacks and 9 other walleye...biggest was probably 50 http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-06/EF259DE1-0239-47CF-A0F8-CC0B7AB315B7_zpsbyihgsov.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2014-06/EF259DE1-0239-47CF-A0F8-CC0B7AB315B7_zpsbyihgsov.jpg.html)

A good 25% my walleye caught at Ste Anne this year have had odd growths on them.
Also lots have had what I'd say are little leech type things, not worms. They have little mini suck holes on their heads sort of like a lamprey. Neat looking little things if you actually take the time to inspect them.

Yes very similar to that, pretty gross if you ask me. Hopefully there isn't some infection going on in that lake. On a side note the other two were quite tasty last night.

One of the walleye I caught at Ste Anne this past weekend had, what looked like, a few copepod parasites attached to its head and mouth area. The fish was otherwise fat and healthy.

I'm no expert in this stuff, but it was a two pronged, transparent type of worm with redish colored speckles in it. My google searches have led me to believe its some kind of Copepod parasite.

Only one of the fish I caught had them, the others looked normal as can be. And I didn't catch any that had those red sores on them.

Who knows.
