My dad and I haven't gone stream/river fishing for trout in a good while and we were thinking of hitting the little red deer river on the canada day tuesday. Sure it's not the best time to go for trout, but we just want to get out there and give it a shot. So I was wondering if anyone here knows whether or not the little reddeer river has decent conditions for fishing this time of year, or if anyone knows of another stream/river that we can hook a few trout in. Preferably of equal or less distance away, us coming from southside edmonton. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I heard it's really high right now over the top of the banks.

worst possible time.
park currently closed due to floods.
this park tends to flood bad.
as bad as the whole place being meters under.

Little red 2-3' from breaking banks if I has not already in areas. Dog pound at the highest level I have witnessed. Red deer high but no at a worrying level. All chocolate milk and brush strewn.
