Headed out there tomorrow for the first time to try for lakers! Do u have to use down riggers?

Certainly downriggers. We were catching them in 70 ft of water in the morning, and caught this one at noon in 85 feet with 75 ft of cable down. Be very careful when you are dragging this close to the bottom. Bad things happen fast.

Great fish!! Wish my daughter never lost a massive laker at the boat from there however I would have clubbed it out even knowing no eay it was going to fit in the live well. It gets to breed on
