just got back from calgary and seen quite a few vehicles on the side of the road (mine spent some time there also)
my daughter just told me that env. canada is warning of some kind of super storm tonight. i'm taking a nap now, but if you guys have some storm stories tonight please post.

Up here around narrow lake, it's just nuts! The lightning and thunder and hail. Very cool.

Just got off the phone with a guy that's working up in the Edson area and he was saying he had temps up at 33 degrees mark today , but he also spoke of there being golf ball sized hail in the area , I just couldn't understand where , as the phone was breaking up. Hope that's not coming to Calgary

around this time last year we had the same thing in edson. my car has about 20 dents in the hood and roof from it.

Couple flashes of lightning and a bit of thunder with a 2minute sprinkle on the east end of Edmonton last night, then all calm as it headed ENE.

went from 32c to 15 in about 20 minutes last night here west between leduc and calmar on 39, light rain and moderate wind for an hour and clear skys and cool out. not much of a monster storm

Nothing in calgary tonight so far, been in the pool for the 4 hours.
Am worn out.

Have a little cell headed our way, should get a quick dump of rain shortly. It's cooled off nicely, that evening sun was hot.

Quiet the light show going on right now, 9+ strikes in under a minute.

Post 3000 is to say the storm is dropping over 20 strikes a minute and the rain just hit where I'm at tonight. quiet the light show, purple yellow orange and blue lightning.

was lighting up in the west end pretty good, mostly what we got in mill creek was rain and a bit of lightning.

Rains blowing sideways, can't see downtown and the lighting is falling less the a km from me. got soaked shutting everything in.

Camping out by Drayton....this one looked ominous coming in, cloud swirling and all....and it came in really fast. Dumped some rain and hail and then moved on just as fast.

Looks like some nice storm cells are on the way in. 2 cells are going to merge. Will it hit edmonton direct? Most likely south of it.

Just got hammered by large hail and super high winds. From the roar we thought a tornado was coming through.
Worst hail I have ever seen. I'm happy I wasn't working outside.

Batten the hatches ladies 80k or over wind just drove through east red deer . Look out all points SE of Red deee.

Lefty, I was in tomohawk this weekend, saterday, looked pretty awesome if that was the same storm.
